    The dainty tree frog, Measuring 40mm, this small hylid (Victoria's smallest) is a rare beauty. The light from the enclosure highlighted just how pretty they can be. Views[180] The frog lies waiting for its next meal, or dies it wait for something more? Views[215] Om nom nom, as the stick insect eats a delicious meal of leafy greens. The natural light shows more of its lovely green beauty as it was captured. Views[243] Whilst perched on a leaf, another butterfly gives a stern look. The order lepidoptera has an estimated 174,250 species and looks like the most beautiful too. Views[229] Butterflies are a wonderful thing, and the monarch butterfly is no exception.     After hiking for a couple a couple of hours in blistering winds and rain we come to a stop. We stop at Marion's lookout which is overlooking dove lake. Once up there I am taken to a special spot, where I am then shown a remarkable view! Closes to me is the Tanglefoot Beech (Nothofagus gunnii), this remarkable little tree is the only alpine deciduous tree, which in itself makes it more special. This tree encapsulates sheer beauty, and there adds even more an emotional feeling to it. I was in awe of the beauty of the flora, but was even more moved by what I was to see next. Looking over dove from a high altitude, was nothing short of spectacular, and I was in sheer awe looking down. After what was a long hike, it was worth stopping, getting close to the edge, and looking over something that is so beautiful and pure. Views[290] After a perilous hike around Cradle Mountain we stopped for a break, despite horrific conditions a group of hikers including myself made it around to see the summit of Cradle Mountain in front of us. With the mist just covering Little Horn, I decided to grab my camera and get a shot, this shot just gave a sense of not only why we were there, but the conditions we all faced that day on the hike. Views[285] I'd heard and seen so many shots of Liffey falls, then when I finally got to see this magical falls I knew I was going to see something special. It didn't disappoint! I wanted to capture the whole of this magical falls, so I trudged in the water with tripod and camera in hand, and so perilously walked across. A photo can only describe the majesty of this place, and the only way to describe is for you to be here. Views[315] I was told about this remarkable place whilst at Cradle Mountain. When I had the pleasure of seeing this magnificent place, I was left gasping. Olivia cascades just left me speechless, and walking away with a smile on my face. Despite the treacherous walk to get to this place, it was worth it! Views[303] When I first stumbled upon the Enchanted Rainforest, which is on the outskirts of Cradle Mountain National Park, I didn't think I'd ever be so captivated by one place!. It is lush, and full of surprises! The first time I saw this remarkable spot, I never thought that a short 20 minute walk around can still leave you breathless, and wanting more. You also feel a sense of peace and serenity, and you walk through, or as you sit near the water, you feel the power of nature at its most raw beauty. Views[279]
