My Scholarship entry - HomeGrownNature
United Kingdom | Tuesday, November 4, 2014 | 5 photos
I am a final year university student at the University of the West of England, from which, last year I took an industrial placement to Thailand where I worked as an underwater videographer. This was a great experience and gave me a year in experience within the industry.
Since then I have worked in the UK, producing films, social media output and photography, for a variety of clients, from summer camps to motorsport teams.
My real interest lies in photographing nature. This is an area I have tried to incorporate into my final year project at university, which involves analysing the effects of different, naturally occurring, sounds and visuals on the brains ability to relax.
I feel I should be chosen as it would give me the opportunity to take in a new landscape and explore the depths of my creativity in a new environment. The Amazon is an area of great interest to me and I would love to visit, not only for the photographic opportunity but for the interest I have in that area of the world and that environment in particular.
