Checked out of our prison cell at the youth hostel and made our way to Bangkok airport. Louise got searched again at security - what a surprise! Bangkok airways have a really cool lounge where you sit and wait for flights and get free food and drink and internet access. Arrived in Koh Samui yesterday afternoon and saw blue sky instead of Bangkok smog! Temperature is 88 degrees c and still very humid. Spent last night in an irish bar and met some very pissed irish blokes who are going home today and a New Zealand bird who we are meeting up with again tonight to get some travelling tips about New Zealand.
Spent today at the beach and both got quite red in various parts ( no we didnt go topless!) Discovered burnt feet are quite painful. The beach is amazing- clear blue sea and palm tree backdrop. We have found paradise! There are loads of vendors selling stuff on the beach but they do go away if you say that you aren't interested. Bought a ready to eat pineapple each for 70p and couldnt resist the doughnuts either!
Onto Phuket tomorrow afternoon and staying in another hoastel for 3 nights. Will try and get some photos on the blog tomorrow.
