I am a Software
Engineer by profession and a photographer by hobby. I am into
photography from the time when I joined Jadavpur University to do my
graduation in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering. That was the
time when I became a member of Jadavpur University Photographic Club.
I came in contact with one of the most active group of fresh minded
people there and I became a part of that journey. During the four years
of my studies there, I learned the intricacies of the art called
photography. I got all the resources I needed for honing my hobby –
serious, attentive and friendly seniors, manual SLR cameras, films,
papers, darkroom set up and above all guidance.
When
I completed my studies and joined my current company, there have been a
break into this hobby – because I did not have my own camera. But the
passion of photography remained ignited into my soul as I came in
contact with another group SLRBB in my workplace. There I found similar
people with a great dedication to photography and I waited for my turn.
After around three and a half years, the time came when I got my new
DSLR – yeah a Nikon D90. And that’s it. I am continuing.
I am generally a bit inclined towards People Photography and yet do all general kinds of photography.
Apart from photography, I am also into creating websites – with open source CMS scripts like WordPress and Joomla!
