Hi! I'm Jon Billings and I have been chasing photos for the last 12 years of my life and it has been quite the adventure! From an early age my dad always stressed to us as kids how important it was to travel so we could experience and see things from a different perspective, which is a great lesson for life, but one I try and apply to my photography as well.

Photography along with life has not always been easy for me, nor do I think that they should be for anyone. It is these struggles that have allowed me to figure out who I am behind the camera, as well as away from it. Because of these struggles, a lot of my photos tend to focus on textures because I love to capture feeling. Feeling gives context. Sometimes the texture is peeling paint, sometimes its faces of people, but I believe it is these textures that build great photos as well as a great life.

Ultimately that's where I want to go with photography, anywhere that will add texture to my life and any place I can capture some with my camera. Working somewhere that allows me to share it with as many people as possible, but, if I can keep communicating through my photos, no matter where I am then I will be fulfilled.
