About bigshow
They call me Big Show in Cambodia because I remind them of the WWF TV shows that they constantly watch. Whenever the WWF comes to Phnom Penh it's billed as the Big Show endlessly. When I drive into a village I am able to relate almost immediately by just saying "Big Show!". They acutally pronounce it Big So, but who cares... It a foot in the door/ice breaker and thats the key. Anyway, real quick about me...
I work for the Government in the Wildland Fire business so I have time off in the winters to travel. I am 55 with a full on Italian Mother and a American father. I spent most of my youth in Europe with my folks as a Military Brat. I migrated to the US when I was 17 joined the Navy and spent 4 and 1/2 years at sea, basiclly went around the wolrd with a short stint in Vietnam in 73/74 blowing up fuel and ammo dumps from the safety of my ship.
I have over 55 countries visited so far, with 20 or so by motorcycle. I operated a dive shop in Honduras back in the early 90's, and from there bought a motorcycle and toured most of Central America and parts of Equador and Cloumbia. For the last 10 years I have been touring South East Asia by motorbike, buses, taxis, planes, trains, Tuk Tuks, and boats. I am currently on a Beemer and have done most of the US and am looking forward to a nice trip south of the border for change of pace.
