People show reverence to their divine patrons through prayers, candles, flowers and pieces of silver.

While there were a blessed few who have claimed to have had close encounters with saints, angels and Jesus himself, others could only touch the concrete representations of these divinities.

The Image of Mary was just loaded on a pickup truck for the solemn procession. Some devotees fought their way to the vehicle to wipe the face of Mary but since security was tight, a desperate man pleaded to a staff on board to do it for him. The man said this piece of cloth that touched the Virgin Mary can perhaps heal any infirmities of his family .
