Longmont, Colorado

The name Longmont comes from the mountain Longs Peak - which was named after explorer Stephen H. Longs (which is visible from Longmont), and "mont" from the French word for mountain, montagne. It's my favorite place in the world, but more specifically - it's the place where I feel most able to relax. My family has lived in Longmont for 30+ years, and it's easy to know why. It's 42 miles of trails, perfect for biking with family, and 300+ days of sunshine make it a perfect place for the whole family. And it sits 33 miles from the capitol city of Denver, so it makes it easy to be in a metro area, without actually being in a metro area.
Colorado is the most beautiful place in the world, and I wouldn't be the person that I am without it. Life doesn't get much better than living in Colorado, and I hope to join them one day. Especially if it is in Longmont.
