I am a 28 year old university student who loves adventure. I express myself through photography, and would love nothing more than to have the opportunity to turn my passion into a lucrative business that took me around the world. I bought my first DSLR five years ago (a Canon 40D), and have travelled around Oz building a portfolio and perfecting my craft ever since. I am especially interested in landscapes, time-lapse, and astrophotography; and like to think of myself as the next Ken Duncan just waiting to be discovered. My goal when taking photographs is to try help my audience experience what I am feeling - to make them feel like they have been there also. I have never had any formal training or tuition in photography - it's all been a hands on learning experience through trial and error. It would be a dream come true to spend some time with Jason to learn the things that books can't teach you, and to benefit from his wealth of experience. It would also be great to upgrade my equipment, and to take my photographs to the next level. I am already in Canada working, snowboarding, and taking photos; but would drop everything to fly to Oman for this opportunity if I were to win.
