The Great Unknown by Ben O'Sullivan

Ever since I took my first picture and saw the sense of awe over my friends and family members I was overwhelmed by the power that imagery can have over people. The fact that pictures can transport us into a moment of time that up until now I have only been able to do so myself through travel photography books, is mesmerising to me. As I have matured and grown my skills as a film-maker, photography was always what started the dream and longing to travel. Experiencing both ends of the spectrum, I couldn't dream up a better opportunity than now, at the ripe age 18, to experience something that to me, would be life changing. To be able to stand in a wondrous place, to be there, to feel, to touch, to breath it all in, then to click the button that will cement that experience is indescribable. I'm ready and willing to learn everything I can about photography as this will strengthen my ability to frame, to light, to see things in ways I've never seen before. I'm ready to gruel onwards for that 'one shot' and am looking forward to creating relationships and unforgettable memories with those around me that I will be able to share with family and friends for years to come.
Thankyou.
Ben.
