My Scholarship entry - A year of changing light in Antarctica

Antarctica | Tuesday, November 18, 2014 | 5 photos

I am a professional mountain guide and emerging freelance photographer and writer based in Montana. I'm on the road for most of the year taking people on climbs of some of the coldest and most remote mountains on earth, while capturing these moments in my photography. I picked up my first SLR at 12 years old and have viewed life through a camera lens since then. Having the ability to capture a moment in time is the most magical thing in the world to me.

I have the eye to capture photos that many other people don't see and love to capture new angles and lighting on over-photographed subjects. I have the ability (especially with mentorship by Jason Edwards) to provide a stunning selection of photographs to World Nomads upon completion of this trip to the Peruvian Amazon.
