My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Laos | Sunday, January 6, 2013 | 5 photos

My love of photography began young, I have always wished my right eye was a camera so when I blinked it took the perfect photo
After learning the art of taking a good photo, from the first capture, to processing the film and then the anticipation of looking at you negatives and finally the art of a perfect print after hours in the dark room, the industry was moving from this into the digital world.
Photos, too many were becoming not what you did taking the photo but what you could do at home on the computer afterwards and this lead to everyone in the world becoming a photographer and me taking a break.
Today, living in Broome WA where my love for photography has been rekindled and who better to give me the guidance I need to take me into the digital world of photography than you. After many years in hospitality I’m not shy of long hours and hard work and to be given a chance to combine my two loves of travel and photography, I can’t go wrong, especially if I use a camera opposed to blinking my eye
I look forward to my next chapter with ‘travels to Oman’ being the new beginning
