Discovering & experiencing what no travel guide can offer...

My Scholarship entry - Through Local Eyes

WORLDWIDE | Thursday, 11 October 2012 | Views [600] | Comments [2] | Scholarship Entry

Grace & Bek are Sydney film production students - Beks focus is directing, filming & editing whilst Graces is producing & production management - we make the perfect team!
Our entry video is a compilation of when we went to Lautoka Fiji - it was a life changing trip that took us out of our comfort zones & into a whole new world that goes beyond ‘just’ filming.
Equipped with our cameras, live blog (updated daily) & willingness to experience local culture, we managed to capture what some people find impossible - uninhibited life. From talking to people on the street we were able to truly discover & experience what no travel guide can offer.
We both have an unfailing passion for life & an undying desire to experience new things & meet new people!
Between the 2 of us, we’ve interned and produced clips for The Amazing Race, Yahoo7, EB Games, local businesses, as well as won short film competitions. We are both apart of a local community media team where we do media coverage & live edits for events up to 8000 people.

We would be the perfect team for World Nomads as we won't only just produce amazing clips, but will unveil the amazing culture & essence of what is truly Rio de Janeiro.

Thanks wannatravel!

And yes, it's a recording from the choir that greeted us when we arrived at a youth centre! The lead singer is a male, he was so incredible! His voice, indescribable!
