The one place in the world I feel at home.

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

United Kingdom | Saturday, January 5, 2013 | 5 photos

I’m currently a student at Leeds Met University in England, studying Peace Studies and International Relations and there’s nothing that I can relate to more, than a photograph that tells 1000 words.
It may sound fickle, but my sole desire in life is to use my photography to make a difference. I believe that a photograph can create emotions unknown to a paragraph of literature and I want to take that one photo that makes people take notice.
Post degree I wish to become a humanitarian photographer, working with NGOs all over the world to aid people’s struggle worldwide. The world is such a beautiful place and it would be a dream to work as a photographer, doing something I love as a career choice as well as allowing other people to embrace the beauty through my photographs, which would give me great pride.
I feel I should win this competition as it would be an invaluable experience for me to start my career as a humanitarian and nature photographer and I genuinely want to use my photographs to help people. I feel I have so much to learn and this opportunity is literally perfect in helping me learn more about being a world photographer.

Thankyou for considering my application.
