Sunshine and Serendipity

When Adriane (“Ade”) Lepore and Sarah Beck (“Beck”) met in college nearly seven years ago, they soon realized that they were not just incredibly compatible friends, but also perfect travel buddies. Since this fantastic realization, they have traveled and lived together in Spain, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Mexico, Costa Rica, and enjoyed a cross-country road trip together.

What was an even greater realization (other than finding out through a crazy connecting-of-the-dots that they actually shared the same hospital room at birth!) is that their ultimate passions in life completely complement each other: Beck has always wanted to make it big in front of the camera (if Ade has to hear one more time about how Beck was born for stardom…) and Ade would give anything to be filming, editing, and making films. Though their experience is limited, their passion is not!

As a final kicker—as if it could get any more perfect—Ade and Beck had talked about visiting Brazil for Carnival in February of 2013 before even learning about World Nomad’s Travel Scholarship, but weren’t sure how they were going to make that happen. Let’s just say, they feel like this scholarship was made for them!
