Born In Kenya 27 years ago, I developed a passion for travel and adventure at the age of 5 when I took my first trip out of the village to the city. My six sisters and friends all describe me as a person who is never afraid to take risks. Even when I do not know what to expect in the place I want to go and everyone is fearing for my safety, I have often packed my bags and left only to return full of stories and great moments. Though many say curiosity killed the cat, it has often driven me to new places I only dreamed of. I'm blessed with a people person ability which helps me easily blend in together with my cheerful attitude. Besides, taking pictures is a hobby I love which helps me reminisce the places I have been to in the past.
I dream of developing my photography career and having taken another great risk of coming to study in Europe this year, I believe this opportunity will help me. Many African women do not break through as professional photographers. Furthermore, many do not consider it a serious profession but I believe that probably my success will encourage others. I believe the opportunity to be mentored in Oman , will be one step closer to achieving my dream.
