My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Australia | Tuesday, October 12, 2010 | 5 photos
My name is Beau Neunuebel and I'm 22 years old, I've been taking photo's for about 18 years of that time and taking photo's with film then megapixels for about 16, the two year gap will have to stay implanted in my brain because in my early days my parents conveniently forgot to put film in my camera, but for good reason, I wanted to capture the whole world and at the age of four that meant taking about a 1000 photos a day (not hard now but back then I had to use my imaginary film wisely). In my defence though we did travel around Australia for the first five years of my life, So there was something new and interesting to document every single day.
The photo's I am submitting are of a recent road trip I took with my Dad to Uluru (Ayres Rock) Central Australia has an unbelievable way of making you feel incomparably small and unattached, which I think is humbling in today’s world.
I'd like to join Jason on this trip because I feel I need a mentor with experience to teach me how to express myself through my photography in other ways and in other parts of the world and also to be able to step into the shoes (or at least the foot prints of the shoes as I carry all his camera gear) of someone well accomplished in the industry.
