The summer morning is getting warmer by the minute and running around makes one very thirsty. This gorgeous wolf stopped to take a drink before rejoining its pack for some harmless playtime.

Our day started with the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Centre in West Yellowstone. This beautiful river wolf separated from its pack to stop and bask in the morning sunshine. After I took this shot I joined in and enjoyed the sun along with this fantastic animal. I felt amazingly connected to the wolf at that moment, both in quiet meditation.

As we ventured into the depths of the Yellowstone National Park the sky turned dark and moody. Shortly after, the heavens opened up and the freezing rain forced many people to seek cover. As I was left alone with my camera, I could feel the power of the storm recede and sought refuge in the warmth of the geyser.
