My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Vanuatu | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

I am a PhD student in Materials Engineering. Main focus of my research is in development of novel materials for energy applications, mostly fuel cells, solar cells and batteries. I am also a President of not-for-profit organization in Australia. In my free time I support UN and UNDP by applying my knowledge and experience in short assignments.

I have several different passions. I love scuba diving and kite surfing. I also like traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people and cultures. I can’t stay in one place for longer, I don’t know why and I have to constantly move around and see the new places. Last 7 years I’ve been living in few different countries, like Hungary, Spain, UK, Denmark, Iceland and currently Australia.

In future, I would like to apply my knowledge and experience in field of energy systems and work on renewable energy projects around the world. Since, I travel very often, I thought it would be great to get some solid skills in photography, so I can tell my photo-stories in more professional way. I like challenges and being mentored by Jason Edwards, a National Geographic legend sounds pretty challenging.
