It is elementary really:

I LOVE this planet, and I LOVE photography.

I currently reside in the South Eastern corner of Australia, in a city named Geelong. I have to this point, only ventured modest amounts of travel, which have not sated me in the slightest, and which have actually only served to feed my desire to delve deeper into this strange little rock in the universe, traversing oceans and cultures, connecting with fellow humans and disappearing into the wondrous architecture of the world, be it manmade or natural, ancient or modern. I feel i have a unique eye behind the lens, and I am driven and energetic, and ever so hungry to learn and grow within this art, which i have admittedly only found quite recently.

I am drawn towards lesser travelled paths. I am curious, always trying to learn as much language and culture of the places i visit as possible, and I am enamoured with the connections that flow so mysteriously and so freely, when one disappears into the world, camera in hand, twinkle in eye.

I have much yet to learn, but much, much more to yet contribute to travel photography. It is a dream that a scholarship as this even exists, and I would dive in, open hearted.
