Even though they are seeling the same street food, there is no sense of competition among these women. In the cold weather (compared to other parts of Vietnam), grilled jams are tourists' favorite food. It reminds people of a "once-upon-a-time" period when rice was something luxurious.

A man waiting for customers. Avocados were once unique fruit in Da Lat. That was the only place in Vietnam where you can find avocados. Nowadays, with the development of transportation, avocados are distributed all over the country and tourist are not coming to Da Lat for avocados anymore.

Da Lat, Lam Dong, VIetnam. This town was one of the most beautiful towns in South Vietnam. Up on the hill is Yersin University. The school was name after Alexandre Yersin, a French bacteriologist. Strangely he was the first one who brought rubber tree from Brazil to vietnam, making it one of the main raw products that Vietnam exports today.
