Before food is served the local men & boys visit all the houses and perform a dance (with drumming and singing) with ropes, like a may pole dance. This particular ritual goes all day and night until all the houses have been visited.

Jean & Sylvie tuck into Sunanda's delicious cooking served on banana leaves. Holi meal is usually a vegetable masala, rice, chicken coconut curry, fried fish and sweets.
