I said I wanted to see snow this year... here ya go!

We took a holy pilgrimage to the tin shack town of Gangotri... the original source of the mother ganges (the glaciers have retreated 18kms to Gaumukh). It was a long journey up to 3100 metres and it snowed the next day so we had to stay longer... bummer eh :)

This is the jeep that took us out of Gangotri. The 'Hill Queen' stopped at Bhairon Devi a full power Shiva place 2km below Gangotri. Two Sadhus live here, we paid a visit and drank baba tea... tasted like flowers and honey.
