Saudatti Fair

Scenes captured during my visit to the Saudatti Fair - an annual religious festival in southern India. People in thousands throng from nearby states to worship Goddess Ellamma who is the family deity. Transgenders believe they are the brides of the Goddess and the fervor reflects the rebellion against a conformist society of defined gender identities.
