I am Bala Mariappan from India and Photography is my passion. Photography changed me a lot when I was down and helped me to think beyond others. I really want to acheive big in photography and so started photographing story based themes instead of random subjects. I have done several photoseries so far like Holi festival, Koovaham (Annual Festival of Transgenders). Inspired by many photographers and also national geographic. Got selected in Your shot category in National geographic site three times. Three of my photographs from my different photoseries have been published. If I get selected in this competition as a winner, then it would really be a great chance for me to showcase my talent in international level. And I assure you that I will not lose and will fight hard till I achieve success. Chitti photography is my flickr account and you can see my works and also photoseries there. National geography is my dream and I would work/photograph hard till my death if I get selected in this. I have been to many places, villages rural and urban areas which has taught me several photographic themes and interesting people and subjects.
