My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Brazil | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos
I'm Carlotta, I'm 28 years old and I live in Rome. I've been taking pictures for all my life. I use both digital and analogic cameras. I have always lived in big and crowded cities such as Rome, London, Madrid and Napoli, and they are really inspiring and full of story to tell. I've always been travelling and in the last years I have been many times in South America where, a part from other big cities over there, I discovered for the first time places where the human beings have the possibility to live in deep contact with nature and that really shocked me in a positive way. Since the first time I went to Brazil, I've always been looking for that sensation of contact with the natural elements that seems to bring me back to the roots of human history, before modern society, when men were part of the natural background. This is the feeling I wanted to capture in my shoots. These photos are all taken in Bahia, Brasil. I'd love to win this scholarship and have the possiblity to go to Greenlad, where I'm sure I can find what I'm looking for. I'm ready to learn more about the world of travel photography, I'm tough, hard worker and determinated to make photography my profession
