Wordly Village

Hawaii had been one of my dream destinations. And i fortunately was able to visit in December 2014 when I was in USA. I made a 5 day trip to Oahu, the main Island. I traveled alone from Chicago and I had no friends at Hawaii. I did couchsurfing for the first time and stayed with strangers I met online. I didn't have a driver's license and couldn't drive around the island on my own. But I traveled all over the island with friends I made on road, strangers. It was amazing to explore the island on my own. This is the second trip I am doing alone. Last I did was in Hong kong and it was an enriching experience for me.

I hiked along the several hiking trails and mountains Oahu had to offer. I explored the Samoan tribes, their surfing and boats. I visited mostly non-touristy places that were amazing.
