After a horrible 26 hour journey via Dubai and Singapore I have finally arrived in Brisbane. Say 'good day' mate to glorious sunshine, skyscrapers and a clear blue river. This is one seriously chilled out city; everything is so new and clean complete with world class art galleries, botanical gardens and a free ferry. It could practically be European but with a definite aussy twist... it has an artificial beach to cool off with in the middle of its city. I think I've fallen in love.
The hostel Im staying in is pretty awesome due to taking pity on me on the first night. I stumbled in at 11.30 pm on a sunday and the local club night was in full swing. 'On a Sunday I hear you say?' So I asked for a quiet room and its all good I even got a free cocktail voucher, this is where the fun begins!!
The Welcome voucher was great as I got to meet some great people.
I ate some chicken hearts and a pigs stomach!
