My name is Ayoun and my name literally means“Eyes”in Arabic, and yet ironically I rarely rely on my eyes to capture photographs, instead I have recently experienced the pleasure of using the deepest, most delicate portions of my heart to project my emotions which describe the ‘Us’ as people.
I was born in one of the poorest countries in the world, and yet I was fortunate for having educated parents who could immigrate to Canada when I was a child.It is for this reason that my main goal in life has been to benefit Mankind. My belief is that, if we are able to feel others’ pains and joys,then together we can truly prioritize the World’s peace above our own interests.I believe that photography holds that key, which is able to soften hearts and change viewpoints rather than mere words or legislation ever could.I also believe that this task is more important than ever,in a world that is quickly unraveling into disorder and chaos.What could be better than to promote peace and mutual respect through photography? I believe I would truly benefit from this opportunity in Oman, because it would strengthen my skills as a photographer, but more importantly as an ambassador of peace and harmony.
