Howdy,
It's a difficult process deciding what to take when travelling abroad, particularly if you have never been there before. But based on everything I have read and past experience, this is everything that I will be taking with me on the trip:
- Mosquito net £10
- Sleeping bag inner (thin sheet) £12
- Inflatable pillow £8
- Travel towel £10
- Mac in a sac £15
- 6 t-shirts
- 3 shorts
- 2 trousers
- 2 long-sleeved tops
- 1 jumper
- Toiletries (general toiletries including bug spray, suncream)
- Tablet
- iPod
- 2 books
- Chargers (for phone, tablet, etc)
- And of course, travel documents (this includes passport!!!)
- 8,800 Thai Baht (approximately £200)
Other expenditure includes travel insurance (£140), my return flights from Manchester International Airport to Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok (£670), and my travel to the airport (£40)
As you can see this trip has nearly reached £1000 already, thank god Thailand is cheap!!!
