My Scholarship entry - The Last Frontier

I love to travel and have been traveling since I was a baby. It wasn't until 2005 did I pick up my first camera and with one that used floppy disks as a memory card, I captured my adventures through Thailand and Vietnam. Since then, I have traveled to Paris, France; Barcelona, Spain; along the coast of Italy; various cities in China and Mexico; Angkor, Cambodia; up and down the entire length of Vietnam; the islands of Hawaii; Vancouver, Canada; and all around Alaska.
In each of the places I've been to, I have fully immersed myself in both the culture and new experiences that were out of my comfort zone and captured it all through my viewfinder. But in all of my travels, time was limited and they were all for pleasure. I would love to experience an adventure and turn my love for travel and photography into a project that would better the world. It has been my life-long aspiration to create a positive impact on the world in what I do. I have changed career paths throughout my education to be able to use my skills and abilities to do so and if I was able to do it through something I love then I will consider that aspiration fulfilled.
