My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Once upon a time,a little girl who still believed that the world could be changed. Some called it ingenuity; but I prefer to call it hope. I love art, poetry, music, people, travelling, cultures, sports and life.
I was born in 1992, in Maputo, and since I was little, I have a lot of dreams. My first and biggest dream though, has always been to change the world.
That is when I found the art of photography.
With my camera,I can whisper to the world the beauty of our children. I can portray the pain homeless citizens feel. I can scream that happiness and fulfillment are easy to acquire as long as we are humble enough to appreciate simplicity. The purity of an image can teach us a life story and make us better. Photography taught me that I can still change the world, piece by piece, picture by picture.
This scholarship is the greatest opportunity I have ever had, since I have always wanted to further my knowledge in photography. I would love to learn and one day teach what I was taught. I would love to share stories through frozen images, portraying honesty and simplicity, changing a point of view, and eventually, numerous lives. I want to inspire for change, and make a difference.
