Ten Reasons to Travel

BOLIVIA | Thursday, 6 August 2015 | Views [312] | Comments [1] | Scholarship Entry

I could give you a long essay on why I should win, but that's not my style. I'll give you ten reasons why I should win.

1) Take a look at my film Ten Reasons to Travel. That gives you an insight to who I am and what I've done in just this past year.

2) I'm a young creative kid who's all self taught when it comes to film.

3) I've been to 5 continents, over 30 countries and I've documented almost all of my travels within my life.

4) I have a deep love for South America as I travelled Peru and Bolivia for three months, and within those three months I did many home stays and made a documentary on soccer within a small community in Bolivia.

5) I speak enough Spanish to hold a conversation and to get by when traveling in spanish speaking countries.

6) I've heard many great things about Colombia and it's rich culture, and I have planned on going there in my lifetime

7) I'm very good at getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things. Plus I've always wanted to Surf the Pacific of South America.

8) I'm a very interested in learning from a filmmaker like Brian Rapsey as I aspire to make and films and travel in my life, just like he does.

9) I am very multi purposed creative person as I can be a photographer, filmmaker and a graphic designer.

10) I strongly believe this assignment is my next calling and I feel no one is better suited to the job.

P.S. I also have lots of outstanding film gear!
