My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Worldwide | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 5 photos
I am not 18 but the other day i was speaking about being a photographer to my friend. Weird enough, it was also for the national geographic team, what are the chances. And although it asks for a story of a place I've been to, i cant really say much. These photos have either been taken in my backyard or on the way home from school. I have never been anywhere far nor overseas, hence why i wish to travel the world and take photos, so others just like me can share the experience of the beauties of our earth. Even though i am not old enough i would love to be apart of the scholarship as this is my dream.
In the first photo, i took this picture as i was finding my necklace i had dropped. while looking there were many perspectives to my garden. something we see everyday ad so simple can be very artistic yet so intricate that we go by everyday without noticing it. the Dandelion represents my childhood as i would pick every last one up and blow them away.
picture 2 shows the separation of water from the fountain feature as it shoots across. the water droplets resemble shining stars glimmering in the sky. Relating to this is picture 3. I do not wish to explain this picture because it cannot be truly interpreted by myself. It mirrors the feeling i have with photography and my life.
Picture 4, displays the last day to my high school life and in enjoying the freedom my friend reaches out for the sun in pursuit of our dreams in the real world.
picture 5, represents the physical pursuit of our dreams and the man pathways we can take in attaining true determination. That or we are chasing a pizza van giving free samples. :)
