My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I find it easy to submerge myself in the unfamiliar, to disappear and record from the inside out, allowing a perspective not necessarily seen from the outside in. I would be lying if I said that the Art of Photography comes easily to me. I am proud of what I have achieved so far, all whilst my Photography is partially imprisoned by the responsibilities of day to day life and the need for a ‘normal job’, though at the same time, on countless occasions I have felt as if I’m just not good enough. It is my belief that I am well suited to the Scholarship because I am the person described in the online overview of the application process. I am young…ish (I’m 27), I have a love for Photography exceeded by no one, I have a long education in the field but am still yet to find my footing and I have so much I could learn from a field Professional whilst still being able to bring something to assignment, starting with enthusiasm and a great working attitude. I am polite, accommodating and respond very well to direction whilst at the same time I am more than capable of initiative and have the potential to produce beautiful imagery…I know that I just need a mentor to help me unlock it.
