Hi. My name is Lisa! A little bit about me: Right out of high school I didn't follow the typical path. I instead decided to take a gap year and live abroad in Austria as a Rotary Exchange student for the whole year. Ever since my life hasn't been the same. Now I am 19 and rebounded back in the USA from my incredible year abroad..and honestly I CAN'T TAKE IT. I want nothing more than to travel. Yeah.. I know I should be focused on my studies, and trust me I am trying! However, with my giant Austrian flag and other memories hanging all over my walls, I am constantly reminded about how ALIVE I felt when I traveled. It was such a rush hopping on the flight to a far away place I had never been before. Getting to discover all the beauty and flaws of the world by travel is something school can't just teach me about with a textbook. I learn by experience, and that is exactly what I want to do if I am chosen to win the Travel Photography Scholarship. I want to push my boundaries and explore new and incredible places. I have this urge to learn, but not the typical way, but my going out and doing. I feel like this opportunity to travel and be inspired is something I need right now in my life!
