My name is Esdras and I'm a 29 year old Italian, who was born in Brazil. I am currently living in Ireland.

Travelling is in my blood and I have moved house 17 times. This alone explains why I would love to experience an adventure to many different locations around the globe. I use photography as a tool to express my feelings on the amazing places I've visited, my aim is to explore parts of the world not all affected by today's globalization epidemic.

When travelling to a new place I love to learn as much as I can about the local language, culture and enjoy local food. The opportunity to learn from experiencing new places is monumental and I believe life is all about learning.

This scholarship will be an opportunity for me, not only to improve my photography skills, but also to help express myself more creatively through the lens of my camera. It will point me in the direction of becoming a professional travel photographer. This experience will help me to contribute to the selection of images that shows more than colours, but photos that convey stories, emotions and feelings. The chance to develop myself as a photographer would benefit me greatly.
