Lives of not so wild in the wilderness

My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Saturday, October 29, 2011 | 5 photos

These photos were taken just a few days back at Ranthambore National Park at Rajasthan in India. The park is famous for the diurnal activities of the tigers. Unfortunately though, I was not able to sight a single one. However, the park is really scenic with lots of other beautiful creatures and through these pictures, I want to depict these creatures, their camouflage within the woods, and the mysterious jungle. I have also tried to depict the excitement of being in a safari in the first picture. Hope you guys like it!
As of me, I am from Nepal. I did my graduation in India and am currently working here. I really love my country (who doesn't) and want to explore and promote her as much as I can. But as of now, I don't know where to start from.
This field scholarship would help me know what actually is in store if I am going to pursue my dream. I mean it looks all beautiful to leave your job and go about traveling and photographing, but I want to know if I am made for that. After all, I bought my first camera just 5-6 months back and this was my first jungle safari. But I have always been tight on budget. Now that I am earning on my own, I somehow manage to do things I always wanted to. I am really hoping that this scholarship would make me realize if there is something in me to pursue my dream or it is just the attraction of something I would like to do.
Thank you.
