My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Ashutosh Mukherjee and I am from India, a country known for diversities.
This is where I learnt my mother tongue, Hindi from my mother and this is where I developed a passion of learning new languages. By the grace of God I can speak four different languages, I crave for more.
Living on the footsteps of the Himalayas, I developed a liking for trekking and doing adventurous things. I love travelling and Seeing culture.
My dad once told me, “once you find your passion, your whole world will change” I spent years of my life searching for that passion.
It was in School that I realized my love for Cameras and how they work. I remember, I was around 7 at that time, my parents gave me a toy camera with 2 reels of film. I loved it and prized it more than anything else.
My parents wanted my brother to study Architecture, but looks like god wanted me to be the first Architect in the Mukherjee family, so here I am in my final year of Architecture school, doing a major in architectural photography.
I never knew there were so many words spoken in silence. In the past 15 years my camera has shown me how to translate these silent words into unconditional sounds of acceptance.
