Two of my main interests are communication and culture. Also, I firmly believe in the adage a picture speaks a thousand (or, in my opinion, a billion) words. Obtaining this photography scholarship would enable me to learn from the best, experience a new culture as well as communicate the beauty and intricacies of it via photographs to the world. So far, I have been incredibly lucky to have been able to travel to places as diverse as Boston, United States in the freezing cold of winter and North Sulawesi, Indonesia in the raging heat of summer. In every place that I have gone to, I have sought to take photographs with both my camera as well as my heart. It would be an amazing honour for me to be able to actually share my photographs with other people.

I am 100% physically fit and I am able to take extreme weather as well as able to wait for hours for that perfect moment to capture a photograph. I have been interested in photography and videography from a young age but now my main interest is photography. This is because in addition to the perspective that the photographer has of the image, someone who is viewing the image brings a new perspective too. I find the similarities as well as the differences in perspectives on viewing the same thing amazing and intriguing.
