Blue Treasure from Pacitan
Pacitan is the hometown of Bambang Susilo Yudhoyono, the President of Republic of Indonesia. It is not only be the birth place of a leader of the nation, but also stores beautiful treasures which become one of the rarest world’s nature phenomenon. Pacitan is famous for its 1000 caves and 1000 beaches. Geologists and cave expersts know that these caves have the most beautiful stalacnites and stalagmites, as in Goa Gong (Gong Cave) and Goa Tabuhan (Tabuhan Cave).
This forewords about Pacitan caused me to make plan to explore Pacitan. That was my first time visiting Pacitan, I and my friend, Novi, searched for a ‘beautiful blue treasure’ named Klayar, one of the most beautiful beaches, a hidden paradise on southern Pacitan.
It was an amazing adventure for me since I and my friend were crazy enough to search for it though we didn’t know where to go to Klayar beach. Our cluelessness caused us to find that blue treasure and another hidden treasure there. We went there by motorbike. After 2 hours driving, we found nothing. The road became even more narrow, steep, and dangerous. We had steep hills on our left side and deep cliff on our rigth side. Exhaustion caused my friend to lose control of the bike. We fell from bike and almost slid down into the cliff. But thanks God, there was a couple, local people, who helped us. We didn’t give up yet and did continue our journey. The road was very narrow and there was nobody but us. Almost all of the part of the road was severly damaged and the wound on my leg became more painful because of the motorbike riding.
After going up and down the hills and the cliffs, I faintly heard the sound of the wave and smelled the sea scent. When we got there, all i could see was a beautiful shiny blue sea, clean white and warm sand, while the sound of the wave diminished the exhaustion. My wound seemed healed by itself and not painful anymore.
Klayar is a white sand beach that has beautiful white sail-shaped cliffs. This beach also has one and only nature phenomenon in the world. Coinciding cliffs turn the breaking waves and blowing wind into the sound of sea cliffs melodies called Seruling Laut (Sea Flute). An eminent beauty is hidden behind steep hills. Moreover, a fountain-like water splash comes from the gap between the cliffs. Klayar, a hidden treassure of Pacitan, Indonesia.
