Defining one's identity in a globalised world is getting harder and harder these days, and neither the financial crisis or the latest events in Africa and the Middle East can really help finding out what this is all about. If personality is defined primarily by genes, and the environment in which we grow up and the persons we meet plus our life experiences, the influences of the media are also crucial to determine how we live together, and what can be done to improve our lives, despite the difficulties we face and the challenges ahead.
