I’m Ariel C. Rabanes, 29 years old, male living from a small
province of Iloilo City, Philippines. I’m a resident pediatric physician with
strong love for children and loads of patience working with them. This is my
calling. Being a doctor is simply who they are, not just what they do. My
driving passion is to help people, to be challenged, and to learn throughout
life. The desire to help others in need within them is just like eating and
breathing.
Photography
is my outlet and a stress-buster of my profession. Actually, there is no simple
and definite answers I will give to why I love photography. Or maybe, I’m just
curious about life, so that’s why I love photography. I love take pictures with
off guard moments when some very real, stark honest reflection of humanity
comes out on my camera and is born forever into the world! What can be captured
is a picture goes well beyond what could ever be captured with words. The most
priceless moments are those that come unrehearsed, unscheduled, and with
prompting. There is a sense of enjoyment, calmness, satisfaction, and peace
around me when I take pictures.
Family events,
babies are born, children grow up, mountain views, or venturing off to an
exotic location really drives me to take memorable pictures.
I
always take time every month to have myself a break to bring my camera with me and
to take pictures. I love to take pictures of events (in the Philippines we have
so many festival celebrations here, where you can capture beautiful costumes
and unguarded moments), nature and travel. My last travel was last October 2010
where I went to Ilocos Province (at the northern part of the Philippine
archilpelago) where I got so many beautiful shots about the place.
I
really love adventures and I want to explore and discover places that I haven’t
gone so far in my life.
