So I’m here. Lusaka, Zambia. And it’s hot, 28 degrees hot, which is such a nice change from the current chills of Italy and England.
And yes, it is very different. Zambia’s ‘chilled outness’ is so refreshing. No one seems to be rushing or hurrying, which means waiting for your food a while longer but also that you can have a great friendly chat whilst waiting. The other thing are the smiles, they are everywhere. ‘Hello how are you?’s come from every direction, accompanied by big honest smiles. And what else can I add to my first impression of this lovely country? Mosi beer is great and they sell puppies at traffic lights.
I could definitely get used to this.
