My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, November 6, 2011 | 5 photos

Photography to me is a completely different world, a world where i am always happy and discovering new things. It's more than just a passion. What else can convey an impression better than a photograph? I’m out in the city, subs, villages, hill stations throughout the year. I love traveling. When i started with photography, I used to click every random subject i saw & went on learning the aesthetics of photography with every next moment i framed. Now, the world looks like a frame.
I was given a scholarship by expeditiononwheels.com this july. It was a 10,000 km journey in the valleys of Ladakh, with amazing variations in landforms and the way people lived their lives. It felt amazing to reach the Highest motor able spot of the world.
I clicked all of these photos on my way to ladakh and in ladakh. There is a story behind every photograph. I win or loose this photography contest depends upon my luck and hard work I've put in it but something that is apart from winning and loosing is that i know i have contributed my work to photography and that photographs will win a small place in everyone eye and mind.
"Paws and Beaks" is the name for NGO for stray animals, i had a dream to start this NGO when i was a kid and im holding on to it. I am determined to achieve my goal of someday becoming a wildlife photographer and starting and NGO.
This scholarship means a lot to me, this is surely the biggest opportunity ever. South Africa! that’s a place every aspiring wildlife photographer would wish to visit at least once in a lifetime! To e mentored by such a experienced photographer like Jason Edwards is an accomplishment in itself. I know i have the potential to gain maximum knowledge and then give something that will inspire people and surely bring a smile to them.
