My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Tuesday, November 8, 2011 | 5 photos

I am a person who likes exotic travel to wild places. the first thing that I keep in my backpack is my camera. I started in photography with a compact camera and I loved it so much I worked to buy my first DSLR and some lenses. I am currently finishing my thesis on ecotourism to protect wetlands in a protected wilderness area here in Chile.
I love photography so much I would like to make a life plan with the two activities I love photography and ecotourism and hopefully make a living from this, to show people especially children the Chilean flora and fauna, the environment and their protection by creating environmental education, and shows different cultures that are unknown in my country Chile, particularly through information and photos.
The pictures that I send are most taken in Chile. The spider eating I take that in the garden of my house. The red flower is called Garra de Leon leontochir ovallei a Chilean endemic and in danger of extinction it grows when the phenomenon of desert bloom occurs. The glacier is at the central Andes in Chile and my dad is also in the picture helping me in one of my expeditions. The photograph of the mammal is a rodent called Degú octodon degus this photo was taken in a national park in Chile. The photograph of the canoe I take it on a trip to the Amazon in Brazil, in the picture there are two boys browsing and fishing on the great Amazon River.
I don’t like to change with special programs my pictures only in special cases, so all the pictures i send you aren’t modified, all of them with their natural colors.
Forgive me for my writing, the truth is that I speak much better English than I write, thanks for your time.

Alejandro Guerra.
