Welcome, all! First post!
Just figured out the first part of my upcoming adventure. Today I booked a flight from Malayisia to Thailand, my first night's hostel in downtown Kuala Lumpur, and got my traveler's insurance squared away. Thanks to World Nomads (the insurance company) for providing me with the tools to maintain this Blog.
A good friend of mine, Eddie Robinson, threw me a killer "going away" party in Seoul on Saturday. He had the genius idea of throwing me a "fake bachelor party." He made a quality point that, if you have a going away party, people will show up, but if you have a "bachelor party," you can get women to do some silly shit with you. Ended up being one of the best nights I've had out in 27 months in Korea, and finished totally disease-free.
He did an incredible job of planning it out, complete with badges and participant stickers. When we went out, I actually ended up doing a lot more stripping for by bystaners then vice versa. I will be eternally grateful for Eddie's thought and effort put into these shenannigans.
Got a busy two days ahead, packing and whatnot. I'll do my best to keep you updated along the way, as the next post should find you from somewhere very close to the equator.
