Road rules of attraction

If someone asked me to invent a funny story I would remind that day and reply there is no more creative imagination than Life itself managed by Universe power or God.
Me and Antoine met in Brussel for travelling together to the South of France. He just graduated from university, me - did it long ago but still had this burning thirst for hitch hiking and immense wish to discover the south of France. So after 2 days on the road and 2 nights overstay in Lyon we made it!! Our dream destination Nice met us friendly with nice weather and jogging locals. Promenade d'Anglais in gorgeous Nice, inspiring view from Notre Dame de l'Esperance in Canne, boats exhibition at glamorous Monte Carlo!
For the way back we decided to separate and it was both challenging and exciting. I felt like got started for some TV project: getting out from the city center, finding right spot to start, guess which car would stop. After 2 nights in Toulon my way back to Lyon, some cities just take more space in your heart and Lyon was the one. I stayed at new friends' places met via couchsurfing and last evening even joined dinner with meat fondue and variety of cheeses. In the morning the last part of hitch-hiking way back to Brussel! It was starting quite nice: not long waiting for the 1st car, then experiencing the gentleman hitchhikers codex on the same waiting spot. Hippy looking guy with a little dog stopped a car and waved to me to get a lift. And yes, when I just started from Lyon in the morning I got sms from Antoine that he is in Metz and says that I rather join him there as it was a nice place to see. I replied that I was too far from that place as just started from Lyon and would see him just in Brussel and joked "if only will not hitch-hike at the same time at the same spot". The day was beautiful and I was feeling happy "to make it": feeling of a spaceman coming back from the space. And suddenly weather started to change when I was approaching my next stop point at the biggest petrol station in Europe. It started to rain, I sipped my coffee in a cafeteria and started to stop cars. But what happened to them?? None would not stop!! Was it rain? Was it late? Anyway, having earphones with cheerful music in your ears sometimes just "a must". Earlier or later it will work out if you keep on smiling:) And after a while - I started to smile even more, then laughed, and laughed louder: it was not a car stopping but Antoine stopping cars "in the same time at the same spot" :-)
