My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I work at the edge of the internet getting people online who are cut off for political or physical reasons. Photos are vital as they are still a trusted multilingual medium. For the international community I would continue to contribute, as I have done for years, by donating images of hard to reach places and people to websites such as wikicommons. My consultancy is based on giving ordinary people operating in difficult circumstances a chance to tell their own story with images and words they approve of. As modifying software is normally non-existent in these areas, taking, rather than creating, an image is vital.

I hope I have proved that I can spot a story, that I have the patience to pursue it and the eye to put it in a frame. I lack technical skills and skills I don't even know the name of. Any technique you can teach me will, as always, be passed on.
