‘A Little Monk Saved Us from Embarrassment.’

THAILAND | Saturday, 6 October 2007 | Views [443]

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Thailand. The food there is superb! The people are friendlier than back home in London! Anyway, one day we went to this temple… I can’t remember the name now… but both my husband and I walked in and we were so embarrassed because everyone was sitting down, we didn’t know what they were doing??? Then this little monk came behind us and I guess he wanted us to follow what he was doing… so we did, and we later found out that the little monk was teaching us this traditional way of giving respect called the ‘Wai’. Well after that, we didn’t feel so embarrassed anymoreJ
